The Suhareka valley

Suharekë · Kosovë

About Suhareka

Suhareka sits in a wide green valley in southern Kosovo, between Prizren and Pristina, at the foot of the Jezerc mountains. Around 46,000 people live in the town and its 43 villages, known for vineyards, orchards and beekeeping. It is small enough to cross on foot and close enough to everything else in Kosovo to be a base rather than a stop.

How to get here

From Pristina

57 km, about 1 hour on the R7 highway. Buses run hourly.

From Prizren

18 km, about 25 minutes. Frequent minibuses.

From Pristina Airport
