Mushtisht once had around ten medieval churches, including the Church of Virgin Hodegetria. Today a walk through the village shows how many layers of history sit in one place.
History & background
Mentioned in 1315 and again in a 1348 charter of Emperor Dušan. The Church of Virgin Hodegetria was destroyed in 1999.
